I know we need the rain, but GEEZ...

it's killing me! My front yard is a lake and I ca'nt get out there to do anything about it. I got to burn some brush out of the pile the last two days, but now I can't get back there for all the mud. I just built this house and moved in...soooo many projects, but TOO MUCH RAIN!

Ok, I feel better now. I think I'll fix a Crown and Coke!

I have flower beds and a garden to get done. Not to mention I need to paint the outside of the house. I hope we dont use it all up early.. we are going to need it tis spring also.

We did a prescribed burn last week and the ranch looks like a small series of ponds. I didn't realize how much water stood on the place. Looks like more rain tonight and tomorrow.

I don't want to wish the rain away nor do I want to jinx it but like y'all, I could use a break so I can plow and seed my land.

Don't get me wrong, I am glad we've gotten the rain we have. Lord knows it's been very dry here in Kerr County for quite some time. I just wish it it would have started in April and run through August instead. The deer in my back yard are starting to wear hip waders to ge to the feeder.

Let it rain. Can you imagine the brush explosion that is going to happen in a month or so? After getting only 4" from Sept 08 to Sept 09 at our place in McMullen, I welcome any rain. The tanks aren't full yet.
