    Bees under trailer

A hive of bees has decided to make a home under the house trailer at the lease. It seams they are getting in around the insulation.
They are not too aggressive unless you mow around them so they are not Africanized but they are dangerous.
We tried Sevin dust, we sprayed with liquid Sevin but we can't get into the main hive and get to them. There really aren't any beekeepers near Freer.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Dave

Squirt them with charcoal lighter. It'll kill em Dead! Don't light it or anything, just squirt the bees with it.

we use a mixture of liquid soap(dawn) and water in one of those pump up sprayers and soak the area down. bad for bees and will not harm you

i would try the lighter fluid, but light it as you are squirting it from the can kind of like a redneck flame thrower. if that doesnt work try the water/soap mixture in a sprayer, that worked for me last year. but again try the lighter fluid and match first and please make sure you have two people with you. one to take pictures and the other to call 911.

Orthene powder thrown on the hive area if you can get that close will knock them out in 24 hours. Or mix a solution and spray on them. I had a hive get in an owl house mounted on a pole. Used a cane pole and put about 1/2 cup of Orthene in a spray can lid...dropped in the entrance...no more bees.

Lemon Joy dish soap and water in a pump sprayer. Needs to be the lemon kind to kill the bees. also, spray the area after dark, and you will not get stung. bees cannot fly after dark.

My brother had the same thing happen in a trailor of his. Make sure you have plenty of what ever you use to kill them. The bees will get in the insulation and it is tough to get to the hive it took us several attempts but we finally got to it. We would get a stick one would spray the other dig into the insulation and of course run. After they calm down we would do it again. Good Luck

                  Bug Bombs work!

Get a bug bomb (or more than one) like you use in your attic. It doesn't say it works on bees on the label, but I used them in the past, with a long pole....

The key is after you get rid of them you need to get the honey out or a new coloney will come back.

p.s. You might want to do it when you are leaving. The ones that get away will be ******!!!!!

What ever you do, do it at night, they won't fly. I had some in my 12' x 12' building in the backyard and didn't realize it until I was in there and it was about 5:ish PM so I backed out and left the light on and went back at dark and they were still active so I turned out the light and came back 10 min. later and they weren't moving so I set off a bomb and closed the door and went back the next day and they were all "good bees" Dead!!

Try a product called Tri-Die in an aresol can or go online and buy Drione. You might be able to use a leaf blower and Drione and blow it in the hive. Guy in my office kills bees and Drione works quickly-

After bees are dead then you need to seal the entrance off or the next time a swarm comes through the area then they will smell the hormones from the previous next and take up residence in your trailer again.

Dave, I arrived at Cotulla one day several years ago to a ROAR inside the camphouse, not a buzz, a ROAR. My Buddy, Tomme, said we were going to Cotulla to get a room, I put three bug bombs in the house and left to check feeders. When I got back, they were dead or gone. We literally swept up buckets of bees in the house.

Like Mex H and RR said, it works.

                        Good Luck

Another AMEN on the bug bombs!

I always keep several on hand to use in blinds or wherever I need to spray and RUN.

The guys are right I used to be in pest control and I have done about 100 to 200 homes just like the one you described. Do it at night get close try to use as little light as you can because if they see you they will attack.
