    Mathews Price Advice

I just bought a new Hoyt Power Hawk this past Christmas and I really like it, I was not planning on a new bow for a while but today a good friend of mine called and wants to sell me his 2008 Mathews DXT. What would be a good price for this bow? Also I might not be able to keep both bows so I would be getting rid of a new power hawk for a 2008 DTX. Any comments or advice would be great.

I sold my fully rigged 08 DXT for 750.
    It has
    vital gear rest
    apex sight
    Fuse Stab

If it is rigged 7-8 would be a good price. Bare 6 would be a good price

shoot the DXT a bunch before you make up your mind.
i have a DXT, Reezen, & a Turbohawk. the Hawk is a much faster bow!
          just saying.

i think $750.00 would be fair. keep in mind that you won't have a warranty on the DXT.

offer him $600, it's two years old now. Fair IMO

bare bow- a really good deal would be $550 but as stated before $600 would be fair price

with accessories- they go for $650 to $900 usually, depending on how expensive the accessories are

Its comes with a sight and rest. He was asking $400 and is in a rush to sell it. I think I will go ahead. It hard for me to pass up a bow and I would like to think I am helping a friend out even thought he seems to have it a bit under priced.

for 400 I would buy it no matter what it had on it or its draw length..all that could be easily changed and still come out on top

$400 is a good price on a two year old Mathews bow not including the sights and rest.

I don't think a bare DXT would ever bring $600.

You'll still have the warranty if you go to the right pro shop. Mathews will cover all their parts. If the pro shop tells you different they're just trying to make a little extra cash.

I was a Mathews dealer for 6yrs. I know that game...

400 is a steal... You guys saying that 600 is high must be thinking of the re-sale prices on your bowtechs or hoyts If the bow is in good shape and the strings are good an 08 DXT is just as good as a new one and they are 750 brand new. Mathews hold value very good. You can still barely get a switchback for 400$.

Thanks for the help Guys, its a done deal at $400 with a rest, sight, case and release. I will have to take it in and have the draw length changed but other than that its good to go.
