    Is My Arrow Setup Ok?

    First off I am shooting a Mathews Z7 26" 70lbs
I am shooting Beman ICS Hunter Elites 400s (8.4 gpi)
My arrows are 24.5" and have a total weight of 375 grains.
    My FOC is 9.3%
    And my FPS is 267

So I have a couple questions.
Is my arrow too light? (I am mainly using it for hunting)
    And am I spined correctly?

I would say yes you are spined correctly and no you are not too light, is the set-up giving you problems? It probably would not hurt to move to the 340s if you wanted more KE..I am no means an expert though, maybe Rocky or one of the other gurus will chime in for ya.

          arrows

are you having problems with broadhead flight or just grouping in general? 400 spine should be fine but sometimes you have to go stiffer to get good BH flight with fixed blade BH. sometimes it is trial and error

At 5.3 grains per pound you are giving the bow a workout. Be careful.

You are going to be challenged on speed because of your draw length, but the spine looks to be fine, especially with that short of an arrow. You have 59# KE, which is fine, but you could possibly go with a heavier arrow to quieten your bow down and give you more KE, but it will also slow your speed. If you are comfortable with the performance, stay with it. Most will tell you to shoot at least 6 or 7 grains per pound of draw weight for hunting. The heavier the arrow, the more efficient and quieter your bow will be.

Sounds good to me, but I would do what Mudslinger is saying and go to a heavier arrow for sure.

This setup will undoubtedly kill stuff. Personally, I like a heavier arrow with more FOC. Quieter bow, more KE, more penetration, easier on your bow. Speed is for bragging to your buddies. KE is for killin stuff, IMO.

                    Good luck!

ok thanks for the input guys, how would i go about adding a little weight to my arrow without purchasing new ones. i already have the vibrake nocks and inserts as well as some wraps. my total arrow weight is 375 so how much weight do yall think i need to add and what would be the best way to do it?

How heavy are your broadheads? You may get away with bumping them up a bit but pay close attention to spine charts to you don't get underspined.

400's technically should be fine, but I'd probably bump to 340's.

I really think that with that short draw and short arrow a 400 will be good. I might would even try a 125gr head to get the arrow weight up and add some more FOC.
