OK checked the website and they have 2 versions (actually 3 but the 3rd looks like a lansky type) which one is everyone using the extreme sharp or the original model?

Yes got one about two months ago here in San Antonio. My parents came in for the county stockshow and my dad took mine!!!! So went back and got another one the following week when I was back in S/A.

Be patient because it took a few extra passes to get all my knives back even on the edges and hit them with a fine set of rods to smooth out the edge. Very handy now. I also got the case in order to pack it around on trips.
