    gun question

i was just given a remington gamemaster 760 30-06 and was wondering if anyone could tell me about it.

What do you want to know? Fairly common gun, good truck gun, not known to be overly accurate although some shoot better than their reputation.

Great guns. I've got a Model 740 (auto) in 30-06 which is about 45 years old. Very nice guns.

mostly just the age and value. i was given three other guns also, a remington speedmaster 241, a browning 12g. auto and a ruger10/22 i know the speedmaster was bought in 1947.

ahh.. not worth a lot.. depends on age and condition of course but they made well over a million of those guns up untill the early 80's I believe (early 50's to early 80's, but dont quote me on that).. could go for anywhere from 200 to 400 depending on age and condition..

None of them are any good, you better let me have them. Wouldn't want any trash laying around the house. Just kidding, all of them are great, and I wish someone would give me something like that. They all have the chance of being a bit older, but I live by the words that older can be better in most cases.

760s don't bring much, as already said 200-400. The 10/22 likewise isn't worth a whole lot since you can buy a new one for less than 250. The Speedmaster might actually be the most valuable one of the lot, but it's value is dependent completely on condition. A good example (90%) goes for 500-600.

If the Browning is an Auto-5, it could be worth some money dependent on where it is made, grade and condition. Common field grade guns go for about 350-500 with some of the rarer examples fetching more. These guns have quite a following, so it'd at least be worth checking out. If it's not an Auto-5, who knows. Just depends on the model.

Those are the best kind. I have several from both grandpa's and some already from my dad. There is no price on any of them. They will be passed to my son's or possibly a nephew.

There is meaning in all of them. I like the history, and I wish they could tell the stories that have been created with them. Keep them, take care of them, use them, and pass them down.
