It's a football game played by people that make more in a season than most of us will see in a lifetime of work. I don't care if you pull for Dallas or the Lions, the reality is that none of those people, including the owners, gives a rat's butt that you are "upset" about them running up the score. All they care about is how it'll effect their attendance next year. Try to make an appointment with Mr. Jones sometime and see if he'll commiserate with you. I doubt you'll get very far...

I have seen WAY more than a few games in the NFL with lopsided results. All it means is that one team got beat by another.

I like Favre a lot, in fact I went to the same college that he played in, but I too am sick of the antics. Either play or don't but don't make such a drama over it.

    Go Saints!

      Ranchdog,
Your tag line reads "Never wish for more than your willing to work for."

The "your" should be "you're" or you are. Just being helpful...

I find running up the score about as stupid as little league games where they don't keep score at all...there is no point to it and everyone knows what the reality of the situation is.

What exactly is "your" point cuz?? There is no right or wrong...it's an opinion of how the game should be conducted. I respect the opinions of the others here and have shared mine. It makes no difference in what level the game is played at....My values stay consistant in regards to sportsmanship on and off the field.
My point is as stated in my first post on this thread. IF THEY DON'T WANT THE SCORE RAN UP THEY SHOULD STOP THEM.
Artos, we do agree on one thing on this thread. It is VERY stupid for little leagues to not keep score! What kinda joke is that? I will go to great measures to make sure my son does not play in any league like that! NO SCORE? pshhh

Talking bout Favre being on the field for the final minutes.....I vaguely remember Brees being on the field until the final whistle but we're not talking about that.

And running up the score???? We talking about the same Cowboys that hung Half-a-Hundred plus some on the Bills in the Super Bowl?? 21 points coming in 4Q

WAS a favre fan until he decided he was more important than a whole organization (and team of players) . . . . the old "if i'm gonna play, i'll let you know, just don't call me, i'll call you, oh, and by the way don't make any plans 'cause i might decide to play for you". That pretty much turned me off on him. As for running up the score on the 'Boys . . . . well, yea, it is a 60 minute game, but whatever happened to pure sportmanship, that's the sad part. I'll take a Friday night, small town, 6-man football game every time over a pro game anyway . . . . . just my $0.02.

First of all i am a die hard cowboys fan. now we earned that loss to the vikings. we reeaallyy earned it. but about brett, im 28 and brett favre has been my hero(as far as athletes go) since i was around nine or ten. you see i grew up in mesquite and played for the pee wee packers from age 4 until the eight grade. so i was also a packers fan. brett hasn't always may the best throws at the best times, but there are many times when he did. now im not gonna sit here and say he is the best of all time or anything like that cause how do you really determine that in a team sport. there are just too many factors. one thing you can say about him though is that he always left it all on the field, and his all is pretty hard to beat most of the time

Do the Vikings have him tied up if he comes back? He looked pretty good playing at home in a dome.

What if the Cowboys signed him?

This comment is not about this thread but I totally agree with that statement! LIFE keeps score....just ask the person you work for, live with or emulate!

I hope he does! Great for the game no matter how he makes his decisions.

He's a cry baby for sure . I could care less to ever see him on the field again enough of Brett

Spud............come on now , you know there has never been a team walk off the field in the middle of a Super Bow game and that would hae been the only way Dallas could have kept from running up the score on the Bills that day

Brett just had his best stat season.

Minus one or 2 teams, I think any owner would love to see him in their jersey.

He took some killer shots in the NO game and got right back up.

                              Most NFL QB's don't.

And when he took the big hit and limped off the field who didn't think he was coming back in?

The Minn vs NO game was the highest rated non superbowl game ever.

Love or hate all his off the field antics when its gametime he is a blast to watch.

A meaningless TD in a game already won is hardly worth crying about.
