    Twitter Suggestions

I've used FB for about a year now, and around the same time I tried twitter... for about 15 minutes. As a growing experience I'm going to make myself try it for 2 weeks. Anyone have any good hunting tweets worth following? I'm loneaggie on Twitter also so feel free to look me up.

Twitter makes no sense to me whatsoever. I just don't think people need to be that up to date on what other people are doing.

I guess it's just me, but I have no use for any of that crap. I kill too many hours on TBH, don't need another internet addiction.

I use it as a resource for finding deals on things such as restraunts, drink specials, concert tickets, and countless other things going on around town. I have received free tickets to House of Blues and some other popular venues around Houston, as well as major companies that do giveaways all the time.

I could care less about what celebrities or friends are doing I just use it for the free stuff and to find out what's going on in town.

Right now I basically have it setup as a news aggregator. Following more companies than people. I was a blogger back in the day, so I kind of like the fun of condensing cool thoughts down to 130 characters. Things I traditionally would have kept up with via emailed newsletters, I'm trying to move to something like twitter and get my email back to just real people I know and want to communicate with.

Follow a guy with the name "stuff my dad says" only its another word that starts with an S instead of stuff... got it?
He posts about once a day or maybe every other day...funny as heck!

Its a 30 something guy who moved in with his 70 something dad to help care for him.

kfd I might have to check that out. I have read that twitter is skyrocketing in some circles of the corporate world just as a means of information dissemination. The money behind them and Facebook is in the data though. I can't imagine the billions FB will garner from selling anonymous usage data. Stuff like if you listen to this, you like this... If you live here you are more likely to like this... etc etc. They've just really started selling all of it, and its going to revolutionize marketing. Twitter is already used for mapping how news travels, its mind blowing and scary at the same time.

Coincidentally, my brother called me last night and asked if I was on Twitter. I called him a few dirty names. He said "no, for your restaurants, dummy!"

Hmm. I'm twittering for my restaurants now. I may have been missing the whole business aspect of this. I'm going to try a twitter push for increasing business.
