My guess is, they will announce it at their product event in 3 days on the 27th putting an end to ATT's exclusive hold on the iphone.

Love my iphone coupled with Mobileme it is great! For those of you who have a MAC and an Iphone consider Mobileme. Love putting appts, contacts into my iphone and having it sync down to my macs ical and address book automatically. Cheaper to get mobileme at Amazon too by the way.

I would be interested in seeing how many people switched their coverage just to get an Iphone.

Read an article a while back about apple initially offering the Iphone to Verizon. But Verizon turned them down cause they had just signed an agreement with BB for the Storm. I bet they were kickin themselves once they figured how much AT&T made with the Iphone. Also considering all the problems they have with the storm... makes sense that apple would now offer it on every network.

They agree that the Droid is a better package, mainly due to Verizon's network (though their praises for the Droid are many).

They have me close to going with a Droid.
I'm intrigued by the Droid. My AT&T/iPhone contract expire in June. I'll be keeping a close eye on this. I had Verizon for years before switching over to our company plan on AT&T. While I like the iPhone, the Verizon network seems to be head and shoulders above AT&T.

We used it last night to navigate to the Outback for dinner, just to show me what it could do with the Navigation. He ust stated " go to Outback Steakhouse, Beaumont, Texas" and it started right into the directions. When we took the exit, about 1/8 mile from the place, the screen went to street view with the picture of the building displayed on the screen. It was very cool.
I went from a bb storm to a droid. I use it for everything I do now.

After talking to one of my afore-mentioned friends this evening, I'll be heading in this week to get a Droid. We'll see what happens...

That is what I hear also. I have been with Verizon for a long time but friends I hear from wish they had not switched to AT&T.

I want a Droid but I don't have any upgrades (thanks to the wife washing her phone multiple times).

my personal phone is an iPhone (AT&T) and my work phone is a Blackberry Pearl (Cellular One). I can't stand the Blackberry. It seems that anything you need to find is always hidden in another folder or option menu. I had my previous iPhone for 2 years and was due for an upgrade and got the 3GS. It's great. I personally haven't had the chance to look at the Droid but have heard many good things about it.

As mentioned the BBerry tour is the way to go. I went through 4 Storms in 6 month before Verizon offered me the Tour and have been happy and trouble free for 7 months now

It's funny you say this Michael. I switched from Verizon (where my wife works) to AT&T because I get better coverage. Maybe it's just where I hunt and hang out but so far I'm happy with AT&T and the IPhone...

if Verizon has better coverage than ATT then something has change since deer season ended. While goin to different ranches around the state it seems I consistantly get better coverage w/ATT than the fellas w/other srevices especially out west. y'all ain't believin those maps on the commercials are you?

Phone coverage wise....AT&T is better. I believe most are referring to the data network of Verizon which is better than AT&T and sprint's is better than those.

Everyone I know in this area uses primarily US Cellular because of such limited coverage by AT&T and Verizon. But, between the two, AT&T has much better coverage in the area than Verizon.

Heck, if they won't even lie about it on their map, you know coverage isn't there:

                                Verizon data map:

                                AT&T data map:

Problem with US Cellular is their phone selection stinks. My sorry MotoQ is their smart phone.

I'm looking at a Droid or Iphone in the next months so I'll probably switch to AT&T.
