    New Bow for Uncle

Hey guys my uncle has requested my assistance in helping him pick out a new bow. He hasn't shot a bow in probably 10 years. I told him to go to Double B in Conroe and shoot different bows. He's ready to purchase a new one but will consider a 1-2 yr old used bow thats rigged already.

The question I'm posting is what would be a good bow used or new that has the forgiveness but doesnt compromise speed. He's a 29" draw. I was thinking about a Reezen 7.0, DXT, Maxxis, Drenalin, or maybe a Z7. these are bows i've shot so I know how they draw and feel on the release.

I found a Drenalin that has a QAD HD rest, G5 peep, and the Harmonic stabilizer and 15 Easton flatliner arrows for 475.00 including shipping. The bow is camo with black limbs. I shoot a Drenalin so I'm kinda biased, but I still think it would be a good bow for someone who hasn't shot in a long time

depending on his condition and age, you may want to look at martins line up, the 15 lb weight range can make a huge difference,, and at least to me the draw is a little easier

He's in his early 40's, works out regularly. If I can shoot 70 lbs out of my Drenalin I know he can. He's a pretty stout guy/

The way I look at it, the more bows you try before you buy the better. A quality archery shop that sells several brands of bows can help with this. Let him decide which one he likes best.

If you are looking for a vote, mine goes to the maxxis.

Start him out with a bear lights out!! It comes fully loaded ready to shoot. easy to pull and is over 300fps If its been 10 years why go all out till he knows he is gonna like it

Well, if it was me, and it ain't, I'd just haul him down to the bow shop and let him figure it out. Specially, since I ain't seen his rifle collection. That tells me a lot.

The drenlin deal sounds good. One of Mathews easiest to draw and shoot bows. A bow that would be easy for him to be successful with.
