Saw this quote about the Mavs.....

and although I hate it happened I had to chuckle a little......

"Tony Romo can now sleep soundly as he is no longer the biggest choker in Dallas sports this year."

    ......cornbreadin' Mavs.......

I am no basketball fan at all, but all I hear is how the Mavs Choked.. Has anyone thought that the Warriors played REAL GOOD!!

I played sports through college and sometimes a team just gets on a roll!! Nothing you can do, even if you know you have the better team!!

Bunch of Fair weather fans... (not directed at anyone specific)

When I watched Game 4 both teams were just knocking down threes. I thought they were holding back and waiting, but when Davis fouled out, that was the hinge that swung it to Dallas. I said at the start of Game 4 that the Mavs were going home, but I was wrong....but from the score of gave 5, looks like GS got tired of playing and went ahead and sent them packing.

          Oh, well...next year, right?

a rebound would have come in handy last night. maybe even a little defense on the outside?!?! but when you load up woth shooters, and they go cold, that is what you get. oh well, at least i get to watch the rangers flounder now!!!!!

An interesting quote from Bill simmons of ESPN:

                  • There isn't a happier team than the Spurs right now. Not only are they peaking at the perfect time, but Dallas was the one contender that matched up perfectly against them. Now they get the Suns (as much as I love watching the Suns, the Spurs are a terrible matchup for them), then the winner of Houston/Utah-Golden State, then whatever flawed team comes out of the East. Are you kidding me? During last night's game, TNT should have had cameras at Tim Duncan's house, like how CBS has cameras at various colleges during the NCAA tournament selection show. We needed to see the Spurs celebrating and pouring champagne on one another. Might as well start early. For all intents and purposes, you can put a fork in the 2007 NBA playoffs.

jmo but i think Dallas is way better than the warriors but the warriors got in the Mavs head and had them beat before the ball when up ..........so much for a Suns/Mavs rematch but we will have our hands full with the spurs

I don't know if it was Avery or Cuban but the Mavs had a great chance to influence who they played in the first round. They sat their starters in the last Golden State game when GS was struggling to make the playoffs. They were miles ahead for the first seed and could have afforded to play playoff god. Start everyone against Golden State and then intentionally lose to Seattle the next game...Dallas's problem is that they were built to beat the Spurs and now they won't get the chance in '07.
