** Lost Lacy in Alvin, TX **

We have a member who had their 2-year-old male blue Lacy go missing in the Alvin area. Please keep your eyes open for him. He's not a hunting dog, just a ranch dog, and his family really misses him! Below is a description and pictures. If you have any info, you can PM me or email Betty Leek at scarebetty@wildblue.net. Thanks y'all!

Rodeo is missing from the Alvin, TX area. I don't know if he was stolen or got out on his own, but he needs to go back home to his kids and his other Lacy friend. Here are two pictures of him, one showing his chest so that you can see his spot and one showing his nose. He has a definite cowlick on his nose that is real distinguishable. The cowlick breaks in a couple of places and makes his nose look different that one whose hair splits right down the middle of the nose.

I'm not sure what part of Alvin the dog was in, which isn't very helpful I know. But I've heard of a lot of escapee Lacys traveling long distances, so anywhere in the Houston area is probably game. Thanks guys!

Advice for your friend, when I lost my dog on New Year's, I went and googled every vet, shelter, hospital, animal control, boarding in San Antonio and emailed them a flyer asking them to post in their offices.

It is good that Alvin is smaller and you can get the word out easier. Posted my dog on Craigslist every other day as well as petharbor, pet911, fidofinder, and whatever I could think of. I also did flyers in the neighborhood but knew that it was a good chance that my dog was much further away than my neighborhood.

He may want to go to each vet in the area if feasible because animal control scanned for a microchip on my dog and it didn't show up. The vet that had him decided to scan him before he was to be put down and did a thorough scan which found his chip. My email and flyer is what triggered the vet to go check, they trusted animal control to do their job accurately which nearly costed my dog his life.

Hope this well help, it is worth the leg work. Good luck

Rod, this is not Betty's dog. I'm not sure how she got the info and it doesn't matter as long as this dog gets home. I'm checking on micro-chips in the AM!

Sorry to hear the broda, we lost our Y.Lab when he was only 4-5 months old, and my wife nearly had a break down. Some good folks turned him in, at the (jail for animals) and sure nuf, there he was all by him self in his own jail waggin his tail happy to see my wife 6 hrs later.
lucky enough for us, he had only been in jail for 20 min or, it would have cost me my truck note. We got both the dogs Chipped just incase it happens again. Hope you find your dog soon with a happy ending to it. best of luck.
