i have a browning semi auto bar 270 and i use remington corelokts and they are not leaving a bloodtrail need some sugestion if u have any experience

I have stopped using corelocks years ago for the same reason and swithed to Hornady SST's. Those bullets are hard hitting and do the job fast.

Soft point going too fast and passing straight through with minimal damage. I shoot 130gr. Winchester Ballistic Tips in my 270's and never have a problem tracking animals as they drop in their tracks.

I would go with the 130 grn Barns TSX or the 130 grn tipped Trophy Bonded Bear Claw from Federal.

Try the Nosler Ballistic Tips. They open up quickly and cause a lot of damage. I've used the Barnes Tipped TSX and the TSX and they are good killers but don't leave much of a blood trail in my experience. I've always had good luck with Nosler Partitions on deer and antelope.

The barnes triple shock TSX will get a pass through EVERY single time. Even through both shoulders. Especially if you shoot a heavier bullet out of that .270 The Hornaday SST won't always pass all the way through but it genereally drops them in their tracks. Lots of damage with the SST's and occasional meat damage but very effective. I shoot both and love them.

I shoot a 243 and have shot corelocts for years. When your shot is high you are right no blood. I use the barns triple X bullet and get great penetration and expansion. Good blood trails.
