Help from the LEO's of TBH.

I need a little help or pointed in the right direction. I would like to know where I can find information regarding the carry of Mace or Pepper spray.

I have a 17 year old daughter that has a good head and is very responsible. That being said, she is a teenager and like any parent I worry.

I'm sure she can't carry to school but was wandering about the rest of her activities. The mall at Sugar Land has had two scary shootings recently. I do not want to give in to the bad in the world and punish her for their wrong doings, just want an extra layer of protection.

    Thanks

She can carry it with her anywhere she wants other than on a plane and to school. I reccomend women carry it and understand how to use it. That means buying two of whichever one she is going to carry and spraying one to see how it sprays. Make sure it is done outside and sprayed with the wind not into the wind!!

I think if you are going to carry it you should be exposed to it so you know the affects. If you spray someone there is a very good chance you are going to get exposed to it as well.

She can find pepper spray at Academy. They have sizes that she can carry in her purse or on her key chain. She can always have it handy that way. I agree about testing it and also about exposing yourself to it...doesn't have to be alot. If you use it there is a BIG chance you will get some yourself. I've worked 6th St. in Austin for the past 5 1/2 yrs and have been sprayed enough that I have an immunity to it.

Glad this does not apply to firearms....
