We have a #32 Chop-rite that we use for making burger and sausage and currently have it hooked up to a 1/2 hp motor that spins at 1750 RPM's.
It works ok but you have to feed it real slow and the pork really bogs it down. I am thinking I am under powered and was looking at going to a 1 or a 1 1/2 horse to help it power through the fat. What do I need a motor that runs higher RPM's or will one in the 1800 RPM range be sufficent?
