That is just over the top for freshman.

Devin - You did a good job today as the fifth man, as your score was counted!

Paul made a nice come back after that bad start yesterday
Yes HE did. He is a MUCH better player than what his score showed Monday. He had a train wreck on the back nine Monday. They are the defending 5a state champs and a favorite again this year. They are a stronger team this year and they lost two players from last year. One is playing at Arizona and the other South Carolina. This is a fun group to watch.

Wow! That is awesome! Big congrats to you and Stratton.

High school golf on that that level is a game of which I am not accustomed.

Fantastic. You can see a lot of commitment in that team.

I really like the fact that the little guy is a big contributor, at least in this event. Everyone has good and bad days, golf is about minimizing mistakes and composure.

I am sure you were having a great day watching it all take place. We never had parents follow us on any course and that has changed over time. I know if mine are playing, I will be right behind them taking it all in.

Tell him contratulations from East Texas.

Make sure he keeps his mind right out there and as a parent, keep an eye out for the burn out, he is young and has a free ride somewhere waiting on him. With the teammates going all over, you might be travelling to watch some events, lol. Word travels fast, coaches are looking at his teammates but don't let him think for a second their eye is not on him at the same time. Conduct, Composure, Consistency!!

Saaweeet! I'm looking forward to seeing where this takes him as the years go by. Very impressive. I'm sure you are very proud Breck.

Thanks, for all the compliments. Stratton is a good kid and I am as proud of him as a parent can be. He gets what he deserves though. He works harder than anyone I have ever seen on the course. Many days of miserable weather and not one sole on the course and you will find him pounding balls and practicing like it is a spring day. He also could have stayed in our school system where he would have been the undisputed #1 as a freshman, yet he wanted to transfer to a place where he knew he would have to battle a group of talented seniors for even a fifth spot on the team.

Cam, I was going to call you and beg to sleep on the couch for a night, but my wife ended up coming to the event both days.

Mike, many of the older players on this team have committed, but yesterday, the ATM coach followed Stratton for four holes of his round. I know Stratton noticed him. I saw him video his swing two different times. Stratton wants to head out West from listening to him talk, but personally I hope he is somewhere that I can occasionally watch him play collegiately.
I know its a loooong way off, but listening to him right now he talks : Oklahoma State, Arizona State, U of Arizona, North Carolina and UCLA.

                              Breck,

Don't forget about that little school in Austin? I think Stanford would be my top choice to play golf, but the only problem is you would not be smarter than any girl you date.
