    help with shooting better groups...

I am shooting a PSE Team Primos 65lbs 29" draw with 5575 goldtip XThunters and 85grain thunderheads. I originally was shooting 100 grain Rage 2 blades and had no problems with groups, but I had a couple of issues with them opening when I hunted with them so I switched back to fixed blades. Now that I am shooting the thunderheads my arrows are flying crazy like in a spiral basically and the grouping is awful. they are going into the target at different angles and I really cant figure it out. Im tempted to try the rage again but if someone has some advice it would be greatly appreciated because Im headed to South Texas at the end of next month for a pig hunt.

First, nice bow- same one I have shot and hunted with for about 8 years now

Search the Campfire for "Easton Tuning Guide". I uploaded it to TBH a while ago to make it easy to find. If you're going to DIY, start with page 1 and go through it. It would be easier I'll comment to go to a local archery pro shop when they're not really busy (call ahead) and ask them to help you out- and buy some stuff you need there too.

What size/kind of vanes are you shooting? Maybe you need longer fletchings to stablize your broadhead.

I'd check the FOC, also. If you are shooting 5575's at 65#s, the 85gr heads are probably not heavy enough.

I agree with ZZ, get your FOC, stick some 100, or even 125 gr. and your grouping should improve , arrow flight should straighten out

I went from 100 gr Rage to the 100 gr Montec G5's and had no issues. You may just need to paper tune your bow.

the 2010 rage addressed that problem. Also have a really cool titanium one but it is too expensive!! Need to walk back and broadhead tune your bow. Thunderheads for the most part dont like speed and take a well tuned bow bow or they can do some crazy stuff. Slicktricks, montecs, hellrazors, strikers usually shoot better than the old TH and muzzy heads in my experience.

Sounds like your FOC is off a bit.......shooting tight groups is WAY OVER RATED!....JUst put you some small 1 inch dots on your targets and shoot one arrow at each and dont worry about groups..

You need to get your foc back in place like others have said. You can go to a 125gr head with that set up. I had that trouble before and changed to a weight forward shaft that is taped in the back, which allowed me to go with a lighter shaft and only 100gr for 14% foc or 85gr and 12%foc.
