Off Topic - Tips for removing stripped screw?

Anyone got a solid tip in how to remove an allen screw once the head has been stripped?

depends on the size of the screw and what it is in...

        ez-out might work

wedge a flathead screwdriver in has always worked for me...might need to file the tip down to get it to fit without stretching the center out and wedging it more...

have drilled through the center and used a screwdriver also

If you have an electric or air "engraver" you can patiently "vibrate" it out if the previously suggested brute force tactics don't work.

I forgot I had these in my tool box but they would prolly do the trick too if the screw is not too small:

In my archery shop, In most cases, I can get stripped screws out with a "Grabbit" tool as said earlier.

I'd try a torx head to see if it might grab, then if you can still get to the allen and have a Dremel mototool cut a slot across it and use a screwdriver. Then it's drill a hole and an easy-out time. Was there Loctite on the screw? Heating it 1st with a propane torch will help it release.

Already did that last night when I stripped the head out. Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll see what I can get to work.
