    peep rotating ?

im about to buy a new string unless someone has a possible fix for this. i have to have my peep about 1/3 rotated to the right at rest. when i draw it will be flush, straight back the way i need it. this is getting annoying! i think this is the 3rd year on this string and its only been acting up for the past 6 months or so.

Two choices I think, take the peep out and put it back in or take string off and put or take a twist out.

I had mine do the same thing. They, bow shop, just had to twist the string. Problem solved.

i have tried adding or removing a half twist, adding or removing a whole twist and flipping the peep. all the while shooting 30-35 shots in between each change. it just wont settle in.

if i set the string to hold the peep straight back at rest, it will be turned 1\3 to the left when i hit full draw.

How much do you shoot? Have you ever had it back in to get the stretch out of the string? Does it seam like you have lost any speed? Could need to a few twist put in it or if you shoot a lot get you may need a new string. The shop that set up the bow should have marked the string and can tell you if it stretched and just needs some twist.

What kind of strings? One other thing you can try is flipping individual strands from one side of the peep to the other. Disclaimer: I have never done that, just read about it.

Am I missing something ? Are you saying that at full draw the peep is correct ? at rest the peep is rotated a bit. Mine is the same way, what does it matter where the peep is at rest. It only matters at full draw.

If you dont want to replace the string take it to a real bow shop not Cabelas or BPS or Academy and have the peep reset. I have reset several peeps this year for customers and if they are done correctly and served back in properly you shouldnt have a problem. When I put new strings on a bow or set up a bow for the first time I shoot it about 20 shots before before I install the peep and so far none of the peeps I have installed have moved. I am to far away from you to be able to help but there are some good shops down there in your area that can help you out.

I agree. Its pretty lucky that you ever got the peep to be perfect at rest and at full draw. 1/3 or 1/2 or a twist at rest really isnt important for anything. IMO

                    That's because you use Bucknasty.

This really bothers some people, me included. I have only found a few string sets that will do this.

Sounds to me like you've got a touch of OCD!

If it's good at full draw, what else matters?

i just talked to fay and he is gonna build me a new string.

the current one is a zebra baracuda. it was fine for over a year or 2. but now it wants to twist as i draw.

More than likely it has a strand broken under the serving somewhere... Fay will fix you up..
