Got this comment on one of my youtubeNative Flute vids.
I first wrote a subtle insult back & then removed it.

I remembered " do not repay insult with insult,or evil with evil,, but with blessing"

I wish that had been my first reaction, How many others here have started following the Lord at mid -life, and had to learn a whole new way of reacting?
I was in a way pleased, I usually go off more& then get convicted & have to apologize.
Hopefully Im growing

Good catch man. It is sometimes easy for temptaion to take hold when emotions get the better of us. Stay in controll and it gets easier (to laugh, and to pitty) as life moves on.

Nuthing like "blessing" a person with so much hate inside. Sometimes makes them stop and think for a second, then move on.

I had a Interpersonal Communications teacher in college give us a great example, that will forever stick with me.

She had two students sit at a table in the front of the class and told them she was going to have them race each other. On the table in front of them, was a paper plate and a tube of toothpaste. She told the students, "when I say go, I want you to empty this tube of toothpaste and whoever is the fastest, wins." They did as instructed and of course one wins the messy competition. Then the teacher said, "Now for the tie breaker, I want you to try and put the toothpaste back into the tubes. Whoever can put the most back in, in one minute, will be the real winner." As we all know too well, this is basically impossible. The teacher then went on with the lesson and told us that "words are like toothpaste, they can never be taken back."
