    Old Army

    This is my Platoon that I was with.

    81mm Mortar Platoon, 2nd/505th PIR, 82nd Airborne.

    Around 1986.

    Im in there somewheres!

    The guy in the middle with the cigarette was John MacIntosh. He was my roommate. We were doin a Mass Attack on Pope AFB (CAPEX) and his chute didnt open. He fell 800' and bounced and survived. He later died in a car wreck. He was pretty tuff!

                  I think we were somewhere around Sicily Drop Zone when that was took, but it was definately at Ft. Bragg.

                              My old army MOS was 11C40, forward observer for a weapons platoon.
                              Circa 1966-1968
                              Co B 3/8th, 4th infantry
                              Vietnam.
