    Anyone used leasehunter?

I was browsing through the adds at leasehunter.com and found several leases in the area I would like to hunt. The problem is they seem over priced. Is this what I should expect from sights that advertise leases?

Never used them but I would think that the price may be a bit higher due to the fact that I am sure Leasehunter or whoever is gonna get their money as well.

Leasehunter and others are usually free to list ads but to look at them and get contact info you have to pay.

go to t.p.w.d. something like hunt texas. its totaly free. to list and to call, or e-mail the land owner. a password is required at sign up. must be 600 places on the list. from 2008 to date. alot of day places, and dove, quail type hunts. but a very good site. hope that this will help.

Robert- if you are looking for something by your house I would start beating the bushes at the local feed stores and packing houses. I wouldn't turn your nose at a small place down there either until you lay eyes on it. there are plenty of 80-150 acre quality hunting areas in your neck of the woods. Good luck

I have used it and it gets pricey. One time was enough for me.

I was considering putting my Ranch on Leasehunter but don't want to if they are charging the hunters alot of money. I know leases are high but if they tack on more that's a killer. How much do they charge?
It's not terrible. Like $20 for 6 months.

I'm sure there's someone (group) who'd be willing to lease your ranch. Put it out on here and give it a whirl!

I was refering to the price posted for the leases, not what leasehunter was charging.

Glen-I will continue searching the local hot spots, but it always seems like little progress is made.

We found our lease there, and did we hit a homerun, just be first on the new listings. We actually found a few on there but when the one we have now came available, the search was over. Use all the services u can if u want to find a decent lease and weed thru the BS.

When browsing, found a lot of good leases but couldn't get contact info because I was not a member, Signed up paid the dues to find out that the places I was looking at were already leased. The sight has been sold and they keep e-mailing, don't think I'm gonna fall for it again. Just me, hope it is better now, good luck to all!
