Since you are new to bows, take it to your local pro shop and let them handle any adjusting you may need.

How much do they usually charge to adjust?

bass pro will do it for free, some wouldnt trust bass pro though, honestly a pro shop would be your best bet and they will be able to help you out the most, if they charge, it wont be much.

x2, not sure about the cost but it shouldn't be much. also it be a good idea to let them check strings and limbs.....and if you don't like what they say get a 2nd opion. just my 2*

The shop in Stephenville where I helped out never charged anything for labor or cheking over a bow. We always informed and showed newbies everything we could to help them get going. However I have noticed most shops charge a little something to make these adjustments. Seems strange to me to charge a person for something that might take 5 minutes to do with no effort on their part, cause in that 5 minutes they have the opportunity to make that person a return customer on bigger items.
