i know this may be a dumb question- but has anyone ever used their laptop as an e caller. i know several people use an mp3 player with downloaded files, but i wondered if anybody had ever used their laptop and an amplified speaker horn to call animals in. Thanks in advance.

I'm rough on electronics. Don't think the boss would like to know I'm dragging the company's laptop around calling coyotes. I'll stick with my Foxpro. -
I was going to take mp3 files and put them on my ipod nano then rig up a speaker to accept a spliced 1/8th jack and play it from the ipod to a speaker.Comment

i hear ya , the reason i asked is because i tried it with a varmint callers amplifier speaker and it looked like it would work and having tons of files downloaded makes it nice.Comment

I built an e-caller and used an old PDA. A laptop would work, but mine would run out of battery too fast. A little big too.Comment
