          Thanks for the heads up, like I said I just looked at them in the store and the one I looked at worked fine and consistently gave me the same readings on various things aound the store that I could see from the gun counter.

              I have the Nikon 440 and it works great, even on dark surfaces that are within bow range.

                  I like my Nikon 440 more than the Bushnell because it will focus for different ranges and doubles as a monocular if I don't want to carry the binoculars. That said I'm going to by the version with the angle compensation so what's the best brand for that?
