question for atv experts

i know this is gonna vary depending on use, etc - but how long typically do atv shocks last, or how often need new set?

we had ours for 13 years and only replace them once about 4 years ago

Is it squeaking? The reason I am asking is because I busted one of mine and it was squeaking. If you have the money and you think that you might need new ones just do it. It wont hurt anything. FYI for my Honda a stock back shock was around 70 dollars.

Mine is 12 years and still orginal, 5000 miles.
