Recently got permission to "eliminate" some hogs from a ranch a few miles down the road. Asked if I could build a trap or two in addition to hunting them and was told yes. OK.......how the heck do you get them from the pen into a trailer???????? I have built a hog pen on my property to bring some to.

Shooting them wont hurt anything.
IF YOU TRANSPORT to your place and put them in a pen that is NOT double fenced and they escape you aint going to make any friends and WILL be liable for damages.
Hog prices are way down right now.
Use big traps and wire the gate open for a week or more. THEN set the trap and you will catch the whole herd, if not you might catch a few before they become trap smart.
Just noticed you may not be talking about doing this in TX. so dont know about transport laws in other states.
To load on a trailer, our traps have a small loading door on the back. we just back the trailer up, PLACE BOARD in the gap under the trailer. (now just kill them all)

Yes, it will deter them. But, if you don't have a trailer with a trap mounted on it with a door that will line up with your trap door, you're probably not going to get them out alive if you are wanting to sell them. Shoot them in the head and drag them out as quickly as possible. Try and put fresh dirt over any blood left in the trap.

Good point, should check all laws first. AR has "kill all pigs and let them lay" in the hunting regs this year.
Please explain the double fence. Buried second panel, fence around fence. Makes sense to me
