I am fortunate enough to have 750 acres in south texas low fenced. I had pictures of this buck and one of his sheds. I was bound and determined to get this deer before the season was over.
On December 23 i purchased a swivel limb treestand and set it up where i had seen the buck. I hunted for fourteen hunts straight and finally it payed off.
He came in about 100 yards i hit the knight and hale pack rack and he trotted in not but twenty yards from me. I stopped him and delivered an arrow straight through the heart.
Needless to say there was no ground shrinkage for this buck.
The prize a 161 7/8 P&Y!!!!
