Friday afternoon I went to a buddy's farm looking for predators and hogs. At 250yds I spot what I thought was a house cat, so I watched it for a few minutes. Once it started walking I realized it was a bobcat. I waited for a shot to present itself and shot - missed. The cat spooks about 5 yds and stops again, I shoot again and it runs off - missed AGAIN?? I was NOT happy with myself. Just to be on the safe side, I walk down to where it is and look around to be sure. Mad at the world, I walk back and crawl up in my buddies rifle stand and as soon as I get seated I look up and there it was, it had came back out, but only about 100yds from me. One more shot from the R-15 dropped it where it sat. I was so excited I texted my buddy who was in Luckenbach, TX hunting at his deer lease. I took some photos with my phone and camera and sent him one. His response was "call me." So I did, he answered laughing and said "Lee the minute you texted me that you shot a bobcat, I put my phone down and looked about 30 yds out of my deer stand and a bobcat had just stepped out. I waited for it to get about 60 yds and then dropped it." SO, we had two bobcats down in two minutes of each other! Now THAT is a pretty cool story! Here are the pics!
