    Question about Shoot-Thru Mesh

Well, Ive practiced & practiced, tweeked & re-tweaked. Now I putting my skills to the test on my 1st ever WT bowhunt.

As Im sittin in this Primos GroundMaxx pop-up, I realized a question ... Does the shoot-thru mesh windows negatively alter the arrow flight? I have no doubt the arrow will go thru, but will it kick or fishtail? Stoopid Noob question I know, but curious nonetheless.

With standard fixed blade broadheads you should have no problems, if you are shooting a mechanical broadhead......well that's a different story.

You should practice from the blind as well. For no other reason than to have no doubt in your confidence under any condition or set up.

Just make sure the mesh doesn't affect your visual perspective. you have to try and pretend it isn't there. Most people that mess up with mesh shoot too high because of it, but it is a due to a visual illusion, not the mesh.

I practice out to 40yds through the mesh with shuttle-t-locks with no effect on impact point.

There have been a lot of critters killed shooting through the mesh

I'm dead on to 40 through mesh with zero flight affect.

I've shot through the mesh with no adverse affects with fixed blades. From what I understand, shooting mechs through it is a no-no(opens the blades). However, the mesh will cut into your shooting light by a few minutes.

The only problem i have encountered is if you shoot through the mesh at a very hard angle. I have had that mess up my arrow flight twice. I think it might also be because I shoot a low speed trad bow with feathers. This may not be a problem with a high speed compound and plastic vanes. I have mesh in the windows of every ground blind on my lease.

I can't speak for any other mechanical except the NAP Spitfire. Those will shoot thru mesh with no problems. I have tested it after a buddy told me it would work and I did not believe him.
