    lighted nocks and speed bows?

i shot a monster XLR8 last week and when i tried an arrow with a home made lighted nock it broke the nock and cracked the rear of the arrow shaft. i assume it was caused by the nock needing to be backed out of the shaft 1/16th of an inch or so as to not activate the light until release. anyone else had issues with this? i have been shooting them out of my bows running 290fps just fine. looks like if i upgrade this year the lighted nocks are out for me.

Did you drill a small hole in the home made nock. If you did then that weakend the nock.

g5 nocks are the best I've tried.

$20 bucks each, but they work

I shoot a 80# monster with Luminoks and have never had any problems such as what you have described, just battery issues

May have just been a cracked nock. I used to do the homebrew nocks, but I got kind of tired of building them/tuning them. I've been shooting the Easton Tracer nocks and have no complaints.

was it just one, or did it happen on several? Perhaps there was a problem with the nock itself?
