Actually I will tell you how we find them.
We have protein stations that we fill early in January. The deer have to jump in to get their kibble. Every year we find sheds on one side of the fence or the other.

I have found sheds in north Texas near lake Texoma on new years day.

I've found them in early January before. I've also seen deer with them still in turkey season.

I saw a buck Christmas day that had already droppped both antlers. Never seen 'em gone that early before.
