crowded range today

Took my 10 year old daughter over to Hot Wells in Cypress to try out the 50 cal and get ready for muzzloader season. The place was absolutely packed. Not sure why it was so crowded this late in the season. All the 50 yard was full so she had to start on the 100 in very gusty winds. Drilled the target about 3 inches from center on the first shot. She screamed so loud people 10 stalls in either direction stopped to look.

Think I'll stay home the rest of the day. Seems crowds are everywhere.

the rest of them showed up at carters c ountry in spring. Must have been 100 + . there was no where to park

Yeah, I noticed. Between that and the rednecks dropping F-bombs we only shot a handful of rounds and left. I'm really not a fan of Hot Wells but its 3 minutes from my house. When I lived in Katy I had a membership at ASC in Bush Park. Now that is a first class range. Very, very strict safety rules and you don't get the entire freakin family crowding around one shooting table because they charge per person, not per gun like Hot Wells. I miss that place.

ASC is my choice as well, people don't like to go there because of the strict nature but it weeds through a lot of the bad apples. Plus it's the only place left with anything over 100. yards. I haven't seen Hot Wells in a very long time I'm not sure if they have anything over 100 or not?
