    Hunting around Cotulla

Anyone here hunt in this area?We have a line on a lease for next year in this area.Just curious what to expect and whether this area is still a good area.I have heard stories of people paying good money in south tx. and not seeing any deer. Are there any landoners to be wary of?ect..Any info will be appreciated.

Depending on where you get it, but no doubt that is a very sought after area. Last I checked on a decent lease in that area they were going for about 35+ dollars an acre. But it is just like any other place basically a crap shoot with some very favorable odds if the place is large enough or neighbors are trophy hunters and lease is long term. Defanately worth consideration. Good Luck.

I hunt there and my lease is not that good. Very hard to bowhunt because we just don't see that many deer. But still take a 120 to 140 class deer each year in December. I like it because you just never know what you might see there. Usually good dove and quail hunting also. Oh, the price is right too.

Not sure yet of the exact location but it is MLD so I guess it should have deer on it.

There are no Deer in Catulla, they all went to George Strait's Ranch. Seriously, I hunted in Uvalde with some friends many years ago, and so lots of Deer, Pigs, Javalinas, Doves, Deer, Pigs, Javalinas, Doves, & more Deer.

I have 2 good friends that got on a gameproof MLD ranch 8 miles out of town 2 years ago, they are very happy, but they knew someone that had been on for awhile and saw plenty pictures.Id have to know someone or get to sit and do some scouting before I jumped on.
