in need of a job in houston

ok guys im getting desperate... ive been working in machine shops now for four years mostly running cncs but i started on manuals, anyway i got laid off in june and haven't found anything steady yet. now to top it off the wife is prego and getting close to poppin. i cant sit around and let my family suffer. i am signed up for the electrical aprentiship but until they call im sitting still, i comb the internet all the time and never thought to ask on here, where ive got some of the best advice. im a hard worker and willing to do whatever, just need a chance. i also have a good bit of experience in carpentry. anyway if anyone knows of anything in the n houston area please let me know, thanks and godbless. i live close to kingwood and do my own handyman service and have many references if anyone needs any work

Have you tried Porous Media in Conroe? I think they were hiring cnc machinists................It is on Hwy 105 when you're leaving Conroe going towards Montgomery its on the left right after Loop 336, its kinda far off the road but there is a sign...........

If New Waverly is not out of your range shoot me a PM. One of my best friends has a shop there, I have no idea if he is hiring but I can sure get you in contact.

check out nwbc.org if you haven't already....they are supposed to have quality job search/networking program from what I hear. You can call BJM Director Ed Bacon at 281.376.9223 and ask for suggestions as well.

I can probably help you out around the ship channel, but it wont be cnc work. Its steady with a growing company and more than likely shift work.

PM if your interested. I know its a long commute

Try Baker Hughes. We are in the process of trying to get HR to let us to start hiring people to get ready for the pick up that our customers are planing. It may be a few weeks but who knows.

                      Good Luck
