Braintrust...Where to buy BULK B.E. Peas

I read a thread on here a month or so ago about buying black eyed peas in 50# bags to use instead of any other type of protein (Antlermax etc...)

Can someone give me some direction on where to get that type of stuff??

Not trying to steal this thread, but how many of you plant soy beans here in Texas? What time of year do you plant them? Also, what is the protein content of the black eyed peas vs. the soybeans?

We had Gus Hanson, a wildlife nutritionist, as our guest speaker yesterday evening at our club meeting and he says that Soybeans are really good for deer nutrition, wheat is good and more affordable. Black-eye peas are right up there with soybeans but are alot cheaper in bulk, just cant find them in bulk yet

There is a place somewhere south of SA that sells blackeyed peas in bulk but I can't remember what the name of the place is. Supposedly WT's love them and they are high in protein. The thread I read said they were about $7 per 50# bag. Much better than the $11 per for Antler max.

                HELP????

                    OUCH....not so good

OK, I don't want the price to sky-rocket 'cause we all move to B.E. peas instead of Antlermax so MOD's please remove this thread

I used to buy black-eyed peas at Bode's in Harper but he has not had any this year. He told be that he could buy them but my cost would be around $25.00 a 50 lb bag. Last year they were around $8.00 a 50 lb bag. He had no idea why the cost is so high.
