Bownanza???

Can some of you please give me the low down on what this is exactly? Where, when, price, WHAT is the Bownanza?
Sounds like fun but I'm still kinda in the dark.

So there is no actual hunting at the Bownanza? Also does everyone just pitch in on food and drinks or do we "donate" to the cause? How long does it usually last?

Do the search......all your questions should be answered. But.....everyone is on a team....lots of cooking going on.......we started Friday nite at the hotel and almost didnt make it to the main show.......stay as long as you want on Saturday.......some even gathered for Sunday breakfast........Generally its a one day deal on Saturday. There will be a list of teams posted on here and you can join one of those or start a new one. I have a feeling it won't be long and it will have to be moved to a larger park.

No hunting, no bow shooting.

As it gets closer people will start forming teams. If you see a team you want to be a part of just post up on their thread and join it.

Team Bar, team rib, team chicken, team dessert, team sno cone, team bean, team bar, team iced tea, team crawfish........the list goes on and on.

If you dont feel like you can join the team and put in the time to cook that day, or shop for supplies, you can donate a few bucks to the team of your choice.

It is NOT required for you to be on a team or to donate to a team. You are welcome to show up and eat and drink and meet folks and just have a great day.
It's a day for the whole family, the kids run off to play on the big toy at the park and the adults huddle together going from team to team eating, drinking, and meeting new people.

Think of it as a family reunion.
