    Muck boots durability question

I was looking at buying a pair of Mucks but wondered how durable a neoprene upper on a boot would be. I am always snagging my neoprene waders on something.Anybody know?

I have the Muck shoes and love them. Don't know about durability of the boots, I just use mine for camp shoes.

I am on my 8th year with my Muck boots. I have a few scuffs and rips in the outside layer, had the front sole come loose, I just glued it back together but they are still water proof. Will be getting me a new pair here shortly....

You guys that have the Muck's, do they make your feet sweat like rubber boots or do they breath a little...

Got a buddy that hunts in them, and he says he loves them. Been using the same pair for at least 6 or 8 years. I've seen him patch 'em with Shoo-Goo, but they are dang tough. The new LaCrosse Burly's are Neoprene uppers, and that's what I have. I think the Neoprene uppers are tougher than the regular rubber. AND if you do snag them deep enough to make them leak, that Shoo-Goo fixes them right up.

I've got a pair of Bogs Rancher boots. Very similar to Mucks. They are super warm and totally waterproof. Mine are on their fourth season and holding up very well. A few more guys have the Redhead version and they swear by them. No sweating like rubber boots.

                    I say get 'em.

Can any one compare them to the Cablea's 400 thinsulate rubber boots. I was told the Mucks were not insulated.

Mucks can be bought insulated or non-insulated. Depends which style you try.

I have a few months with mine so far. I wore them through some tough Ohio brier patches with no problems. Not sure how they would hold up in Texas, but I like mine.

I do 90% of my hunting in them....from Kansas to Texas. I love them. I'm afraid everyday use chasing hogs through green briars or thick South Texas brush might not be good on 'em though!!(the tops that is)
