New S&W15-22 (22LR AR frame)

Has anyone seen/bought/shot the new 22LR S&W AR platform rifle yet? My bride is thinking about getting me one for Christmas. I have a conversion kit for my standard AR to shoot 22LR, but It would be great to have a coon hunting gun dedicated to that purpose... light and laser...

Any input would be appreciated.

looks really cool. I think Sooting USA did a review on it last night. Seems a bit expensive for a .22.

How do you like your .22 conversion kit on your AR? What brand?

Keep in mind if you want a dedicated upper, there are uppers with 22 barrels and bolt carriers.I have a spikes conversion on a regular 223 upper that I love.Not one jam in over 5k rds. As fast as you can pull. Spikes also makes dedicated 22 uppers. Cheaper than buying a whole new rig, just swap out your upper and your good to go.

My conversion is a Cienier, and it works good too. I was just thinking that I could set a dedicated .22 up for night hunting coons with a flashlight and laser. That would be a real hoot. I've got my regular 5.56 set up with all that plus an ACOG, but it's a bit noisy for slipping down the creek and thwacking coons.

saw one today at Academy. It is very cool lookin! That sure is a big clip for just 25 rounds.
