    bobcat taxidermists

anyone know of a good taxidermist within an hour or so of tyler that does a good job on bobcats? looking for someone that can mount one with the natural look in the face instead of the "high on crack look" you so often see.

Jasper Taxidermy does a good job, I think with mouth closed was $400 or so for mine

I wanna mount the one I shot in Mexico but I figured it would run about 700 or so! Is this $400 price average or low? What is the average full body price????

I got one a few years back and I paid $450 and it looks terrible. Got it done by a local taxi and never will make that mistake again.

I think the $400 price is low. I had a full body bobcat mounted with a quail three years ago and it was around $800. That was with the mouth open. Mesquite Taxidermy in Pearsall.

I'd be REAL leary of a $400 bobcat, UNLESS the shop has good looking bobcats in his shop and can guarantee that yours will be just as good.

$700 is on the low side of average. A really good bobcat can run upwards of $2000.

I HATE the way most people mount bobcats with their neck stretched out. Chance did mine and did a awesome job on it.

Buddy of ours shot one this weekend and left it with a taxi in Richmond...he's looking at around $750 with a quail...and he is having the beetles clean up the skull for a piece to put on his desk...you know the mouth and teeth and all aren't real....
The really unique thing is that this guy has a 1 month old baby girl...he recorded 1min,42 sec of her crying on his I-phone...sitting in the blind he put the phone on speaker phone, turned up the volume ,played it out the window,....called it 2 yotes and 1 bobcat...got 1 yote and the bobcat, missed one yote...and they all came on the run!!!!

Modern Taxidermy in Joshua had several bobcats when I was there last time and they all looked good.

What does it cost to mount one on a rock like that???? I think that is cool and probably affordable by most!
