    Have you run these?

Not looking for your suggestions on what to run.....I have it narrowed down to 5 so I am just looking for feedback on the finalists. Looking to replace my 50k Nittos. I will be getting 305/70/16....maybe 315's. I want to know:

    a. How many miles you have on them and how's the wear
    b. How is their offroad performance
    c. How is their on-road performace (dry)
    d. How is their wet pavement performance

I run the BFG's on my Ram 2500 and they are great tires, but I'll answer the best I can -
      a. How many miles you have on them and how's the wear - 10-15k right now and they wear good, I try and rotate and balance every 6-8k
      b. How is their offroad performance - General off road is great, mud is ok if you're already in motion, if you're stopped and try to move, it can be tricky, but than again I drive a 3/4 ton truck also
      c. How is their on-road performace (dry) - Once again great, no road noise that I notice, also drive a diesel, but when I had some on my dakota they were quiet also
      d. How is their wet pavement performance - Just as good as any tire, kind of slick when rain has just begun, but once the rain has fallen a bit, they are just fine.

      Once again hope this helps

I have not used those, but if you can pick one tire versus the other for wet performance I would getting the highest PSI rating you can (ie 44 PSI vs 35). The hydroplane speed is the square root of the tire pressure x 9, so if is dark and you don’t see some water on the road, it may be a safer ride?

the wrangers do good offroad and arent bad onroad, they do tend to get louder after they wear some but not bad. Put 40,000 on them on a 3/4ton diesel. the bfgs are great and I got 75,000 miles on a toyota and 70,000 on a 1/2 ton with them, rotated ofter. I currently have them on my wrangler and love them, dont do bad even in the mud.

Good data feedback gang.....(I know the BFG's are one of the top selling and best tread life A/T's out there...but I have always bought sneakers that are not the "norm.") LOL

I got 74K out of my last set of BFG's. I could have pulled them a little sooner. I've been really happy with them.

                BFG all terrains:
                a. I usually get about 60k out of them without letting them get too worn.
                b. I have good luck with them offroad. They are better in the sand than mud. If the mud is real sticky, you have to keep them spinning and cleaned out.
                c. Dry on road no problem.
                d. probably not the best wet weather on road out there, but okay.

They are an excellent all around tire and very tough. I'm currently on my 5th set and have had no flats!

                  My experience has been:

**** Cepek tires - too soft and too loud. Low mileage tire

Yokohama Geolander - Runs pretty quiet but a very soft compound tire. Short lived

Wrangler MT - Harder compound, decent mileage but when they wear down they are so loud you can't hardly carry on a conversation in the truck.

BFG AT's - Definitely the best out of that bunch hands down. Quiet ride (Keep them rotated and don't let them cup on you), good mileage, fair traction. If you don't need a full on mud tire they would be a good choice.

I just put a set of BFGs on my truck. I have had three sets prior to this and out of the ones you have choosen I think they will be the best ones.

Like many have said, they do not have a lot of road noise, and they are fairly decent in the mud.

AT's win this one, hands down!

I think I'm on about my ninth or tenth set - I used to run Coopers but changed and never looked back.

I have the Cepek F-C 11's, they are good for traction on the dry and slick stuff but they are noisy. I would go with the BFG A/T

I started running Wrangler's along time ago. I would get about 50,000 miles out of a set. I didn't like the new tread design. I was happy with performance but not looks. I went this time with a set of Toyo Open Country 10 ply. I love the way the ride and got a good deal on them too. I was going to go with the Yokohoma but at the time couldn't swing the cash. Glad I didn't seeing the feedback now.

not to throw another tire out there but I would check out the goodyear wrangler gs/a it is a great tire on and off road. I have had 2 sets of them. 1 set on a jeep wrangler and another set on 3/4 ton 4x4 and never got stuck. got over 50k out of each set.
