Havent noticed but If u are here is one reason that it could be. If u fill up at te same location/company there is something going on with the fuel. My diesel started getting bad mileage a year or so ago and I changed stations and it was better. Had to do with the fuel mix or lack there of. I now put an additive in my diesel every time I fill up.

could be, last two times I filled up were two different valero stations, jollyville/braker and mays/gattis school.....

      dropped like 3 mpg...

I know I have a lead foot but I haven't changed my driving habits....

I have noticed about 3mpg drop on my diesel also....may be the "winter mix" everyone talks about, but I know nothing about it.

I have notice the same on my diesel...thought once I opened it up on the highway it would increase but it's still about 3 mpg off.

they put ethanol in the gasoline during the winter months which will kill your gas mileage

Anyone ever do the Acetone trick in their gasoline rides?

I tried the acetone thing a few years ago; it didnt change anything. They say to be careful with it to because it will eat away at your rubber gas lines.

Not only am I getting worse mileage, but it's also hard to start when cold, like harder than it should be. Been driving diesels for the last 8 years or so, this is not right, and it also smokes a little white smoke when I first start it up.

I usually get right at 500 miles out of a tank in my Camry, but this tank is going to be lucky to get 450 miles. I just commented on it this afternoon on my way home from work, when the low fuel light came on at 405 miles. This will be my worst mileage since I bought the car new in January.

Glad this is happening to others. I was getting ready to put mine in the shop to find out what was wrong. I think it's all that "change".

Here in central texas they made it mandatory for the stations to carry the ethanol/gas mix. I have been told that they first few times you run ethanol it cleans a lot of debris from your tank and clogs your fuel filter causing bad gas mileage. Even if your truck is new you're still getting debris from the old tanks in the ground at the station. Just change your fuel filter with your next few oil changes and you'll be fine.
