    Waxing Bowstrings?

Is a leather cloth the only thing you can use to rub the wax into your strings?

no, you can use your fingers although you may get a burning sensation in your fingertips. lol

imo, something leather is the best available option.

I think so. I try to apply as much friction as possible to "melt" the glue so it will get in between the individual strings.

Am I the only one who uses the wife's hair dryer to soften/melt the wax into the string? I thought this was a common practice.

Melt it, rub it in with fingers, done.

If I remember right, I found the leather patches at one of those hobby places my wife goes to... Found a little bag that had a few pieces (2"X2")

DITTO:Hobby Lobby. I found a small piece of leather for $2.87. Might be able to get 10 little squares out of it.

I found a plastic ziploc freezer bag works well. Work it back and forth until you feel the heat through the bag.

                          Leather glove.
If I didn't think my opinion was right, then it wouldn't be my opinion. So, any other opinion must be wrong, therefore stupid.
