    mighty putty

I have to admit to being the biggest cynic in the world when it comes to TV offers and pitchmen but I have to admit that stuff really works. I have used it several times with good results. The last time was just a couple of minutes ago. After the thread last week about the new Bushnell trophy camera I decided to take the suggestions and just move it closer to the feeder since the flash wan't that bright...the pigs really didn't like that idea and rolled my camera...they bent the camera mount post over rubbing on it and then broke the camera off the post (I used the tripod mount on the bottom of the camera) and then trampled the camera in the mud. I just glued the mount back on with the mighty putty and it appears to have worked again just as advertised. Now I just have to hope the camera still works after the abuse it got...

isn't it pretty much like JB weld in an easier to handle form?? I always thought it would be a convenient stuff to have around but never got brave enough to test it.

It's a lot more like dough than JB weld. you just tear a chunk off (2 part mix, 1 part inside the other) and knead them together. I bought mine at the dollar general. It's a pretty handy thing to throw in the toolbox.

You can buy a stick of it at Home Depot or an ACE Hardware store, it's called plumbers epoxy. I've done tons of repairs with it, and used it to raise the rear 'fixed' sight on my XD45 1/8" since it was shooting low- and it has never snapped off. JB Quick works better for small repairs, and if you mix it until it's getting stiff it will not drip, and holds great. Made in Sulphur Springs, TX.
