    Ruger m77 .270 question

I have a Ruger m77 .270 that what produced in 1983 according to a serial number check on Ruger's website. The stock is pretty beat up and the front sling swivel hole is stripped out. I need to replace the stock but I can't find one. I checked with Brownells and they said the stock for that old model was no longer in production and therefore I they didn't sell one. OK, so the question is does anyone know where I can get a new stock for an old gun? I was looking for a black synthetic stock with sling swivels. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If a new stock can't be found does anyone have an idea how much it would cost to have a gunsmith "clean up" the stock and can anyone recommend someone who could do that?

Try Midways and look in the Bell and Carlson section they have a lot of older rifle stocks that fit like a glove.
