Got two this evening. Not snow or buck.

I went out to sit in the forecasted snow to shoot a buck. Neither showed.

But two doe did and... well... why not, I had some MLD's.

The one on the left weighed 115. Big for our place.

No Sir. 270WSM. I shot the first one at about 140yards, then the phone rang and of course I have to answer when my 78 year old pop calls.

So I put the phone on speaker and shot the second one through the neck as it was going under the fence away from the first one.

I led it a little too much.

I could have shot a third that was watching the show outside the foodplot but just didn't want to do all that cleaning.

Well you know, they kept running away and I had to stop them some how.

C'mon, we know you shoot ther legs off, Dead Eye.
I actually shot the right front leg off a flathead 2 years ago. All in all it was a good thing. The rifle was sighted in about 10" to the right. Took two more does all head and neck shots but had to aim out infront of their nose.

It was a hoot to be out in the snow Friday but was working. Went out Saturday moring to see where the hogs where running in Missouri City area.
