Well I can gar-on-tee my buddy did not lie to me. The game warden may have lied to him. Or maybe just maybe the game warden is one these people that make up the rules as they go. This particular GW has said some other stuff in the past that has proved to be not exactly the way it is. Know what I mean?
i certainly hope they can have tops. one of the hogs i caught recently almost climbed over the top!!! i didnt know they could do that! luckily i had a S&W .40 handy
Well i haven't heard that it was a law but when they make it one then just make the walls higher and slat them in. Deer will be able to jump out but hogs will be unable to climb out
Got a text from a buddy of mine earlier today that he had a nubbin buck in his trap this morning, he said this is the second time. I don't like the idea of deer getting stuck in the traps so it seems to me that this might not be a bad idea. I mean it's not like many hogs are gonna jump the walls, they usually can't even get over 3' "hog panels."
We catch 1-3 deer a year in ours. Heck, we've caught 2 turkeys. It does make you sick to see a deer in one, especially if appears they broke their jaw. We have a big round pen made out of cattle panels just for that reason. Sure makes it hard to round em up in that big pen if you want to run em into a trailer and sell them. We have better luck in the tried and true rectangular trap with a top on it. Just have to run it every moring and night.
