Hunting is not about the deer that you kill.
It should be, and to me it is about the memories that are made while I am out in the field hunting, thinking and basically just enjoying the outdoors. When you are successful and you want to cherish those memories for a lifetime you seem to get things mounted that you call a "TROPHY". Well to me it is about more than that.....The 2006 deer that I killed finally returned home to my house at around midnight and you can see from my avatar that my son would not miss this for the world.
This is one of my greatest memories from last season so I brought my "trophy" to Diamond S Taxidermy for him to bring my memory "BACK TO LIFE" so to speak. Here is the finished product....Please enjoy!
Scott is a very good taxidermist and really listens to you about how you want the ears pointing and how much detail you want put into your MEMORIES! Be sure to look at how much detail went into the muscles and lines of the face....Also in the bottom picture there was a scar that was on the front part of his shoulder where he had been fighting and Scott was even able to make sure that detail was shown as well! I have numerous pictures of them when they were still alive and I give them to Scott and he replicates the bucks to the pics that I give him as close as possible.
Scott you did a great job and the time you had the mounts back to me was incredible!! Thanks a million for some expert work! I will be sure to bring whatever I kill this year to you as well.
