    Kinetic energy calculation

    When you are figuring KE of arrows do you combine the weight of the arrow and broadhead or just the weight of the arrow? Thanks

      You use the combined weight of the completed arrow with the broadhead.

      I don't think it matters a hill of beans, since arrows kill by cutting not damaging organs by transfer of energy like a bullet, but never-the-less it's the total weight.

        Speed X Speed X weight divided by 450,240= K.E.
        I think it matters in BH choice, considering penetrating potential.

          yea you right!! if you gotta worry about the ke, another head would be in order!
