When did you kill your best buck. Bow/rifle season? Hunting hard, walking back to the truck when you forgot something, driving through the lease, early season, late season. I just like to hear other peoples stories.
Mine was on my 4 wheeler after I had hunted that morning untill about 10:00am and while I was at my 4 wheeler a young buck came walking up to me while I was parked on the road. After leaving I noticed 2 other bucks and neither one of them was paying attention to me. So I made a detour and went through part of the lease that I never go through and came upon a couple of does feeding about 70 yds out in a dry slough that feeds a pond. The wind was blowing about 20-25 mph and they had no clue I was there. I sat there watching them through the binos and here comes a doe on the run. Right behind her was a beautiful main frame 10 with a dark grey coat and a beautiful chocolate rack. It took me about 1 second to decide I was going to shoot him. Well he ran off in the brush chasing the doe out of sight. I thought he might be gone. In about 2 minutes here comes the doe again and he was right behind her. I shot at the first oppurtunity. He is only a mid 130 buck but he was a real trophy to me.
